Tjestenina? Dobro ste \u010duli!<br><br>Iako je razvijen u Izraelu 1950-ih zbog nedostatka ri\u017ee, ideja o mije\u0161anju semoline s vodom datira mnogo dalje u pro\u0161lost. Semolina je vrsta bra\u0161na dobivena od durum p\u0161enice bogate glutenom. Iako ga \u010desto smatramo \u017eitaricom, on je tako\u0111er vrsta tjestenine. Tradicionalno se izra\u0111uje ru\u010dno, a kuglice su znatno manje i nepravilnijeg oblika.<br>Zbog razlike u veli\u010dini, pravi i izraelski kus-kus imaju razli\u010dit okus i zahtijevaju druga\u010diju pripremu.<br><br>Izraelski kus-kus oduvijek se radio strojno. Dodavanjem vode u bra\u0161no dobiva se suha smjesa. Kada se protiskuje kroz poseban ekstruder, transformira se u okrugle, jednolike kuglice. Zakuhajte vodu, dodajte kus-kus i kuhajte na laganoj vatri 8 minuta. Zakuhajte vodu i kada prokuha, lagano ju posolite. Umije\u0161ajte kus-kus i kuhajte na laganoj vatri 5 minuta. Nakon tih 5 minuta sva bi se voda trebala upiti.
